Maree has a long history as a top level athlete and is currently in the midst of a multi sport scholarship at college in the USA. Maree will be available for sessions at Funks Corner when she is home during her off-season.
Whilst Maree is now at the elite level of Ice Hockey in the USA, she has been exposed to elite level basketball as a junior growing up here in Melbourne. Maree has had the opportunity to learn from some the best basketball coaches in the county during her junior VJBL career and has a passion for passing her knowledge on to aspiring players. She has coached basketball teams at a variety of levels and her teams are built on fundamentals, inclusion and above all enjoyment. She currently coaches an early Primary School aged team in Albert Park. Maree specializes in coaching the beginner age groups, giving young players a solid foundation in the sport that they can build on. We are lucky to have her broad experience available to us.
